"Ate" (pronounced ah-TAY for anyone waiting to step on Filipino soil for the first time!) Ruth Callanta is first and foremost a humble servant of Christ. It is from this position that God has been able to raise her up to have global influence. Ate Ruth is the Founder, CEO, and President of The Center for Community Transformation (CCT), our host for Pagdiriwang. God has led and blessed her to oversee a group of 12 ministries serving hundreds of thousands of the materially poor throughout the Philippines, but it wasn't always that way! In fact, CCT started as a small, struggling microfinance organization and it wasn't until they made Christ and His Kingdom central to all they do that God chose to raise them up to the organization of global influence that they are today. Ate Ruth will be our morning plenary speaker on Thursday and Friday of Pagdiriwang. She will speak humbly from the experiences she has been through to oversee a group of ministries which God is using to help the last become first and allow even the most disenfranchised to experience a bit more of heaven on earth.
